David Johnson made a splash at Rhienbeck with this unusual German fighter.
The D.III features both a spun aluminum cowl and a two piece aluminum spinner, authentic interior instrumentation, leather trim, Spandau machine guns with brass ammunition, wire wheels and optional lozenge fabric.
Designed especially for this model and included in the kit is a model of the 11 cylinder Siemens Halsky engine.
In addition to the optional camouflage we can supply custom 4 blade laminated flying or static propellers.
This 1/4 scale model has surprisingly good flight characteristics with a Brison 2.4 gas engine also available from Arizona Models.
The fuselage is easy to construct with David’s fast alignment technique. Assembly is straight forward with a copy of the construction article from Model Airplane News.
