Own the model kit designed for and used in the movie, Flyboys.
Arizona Model Aircrafters the worlds largest producer of flying early vintage and WWI aircraft developed and produced the Fokker Dr.1 triplane models used for Flyboys. Additionally we also provided detailed design plans for the Nieuport 17 and fighting Zeppelin.
Now all these can be yours too.
The triplane models used in the movie were originally done in a 1/8 and 1/4 scale size. We have now resized the kits to offer them to you in scale sizes of 1/8, 1/4 and 1/3. Ideal for either electric or gas/glow powered flight.
Kits come with real aluminum engine cowls, dummy engines Spandau machine guns and wheels.
Don’t have the time to build? Our staff of professional model builders can assemble and finish the kit to your specifications. Call or email for details.
These triplane kits are assembled using standard model building techniques. The light weight scale like construction makes them ideal for electric power or they easily setup for gas/glow power.
Scale documentation with full scale drawings and historical photographs accompany each kit.
Check our Museum Scale page for our other triplane kit. The museum scale kit is not a model it is actually a full sized Dr.1 design reduced to model scale sizes. This flying design is for experienced builders only, our Flyboys triplane is for beginner to intermediate builders. Either type build to exact scale outlines.
