Flown by WW 1 ace Ernst Udet, the FW 56 was a star aerobatic performer during the “Golden” ‘30s at U.S. air shows.
Nimble and sturdy, it later was used as a trainer for most Luftwaffe fighter pilots.
Superbly detailed this 1/6 scale electric design is also available in a larger 1/4 scale size.
Kits come with Golden Age type wheels, a scale dash panel with engraved instruments, laser cut parts and molded engine cowl and struts (1/6 size only 1/4 construction is built up).
To help with the construction setup and detailing we include 18 pages of historical information and a copy of the original construction article text as it appeared in the July 1996 issue of Model Builder magazine. Conversion to gas/glow is straight forward and simple.
