How We Do It
Arizona Model Aircrafters (AZM) has invested considerable time and finances to design a state of the art computer operated manufacturing process. By producing our own parts we are able to keep costs down and quality high. With our specialized scanning and graphics equipment AZM is able to significantly reduce the time and labor typically associated with bringing new models to you.
In addition we have had further assistance from our friends Bob Banka, Air Age Publications and W.W.I Aero magazines in providing plans, historical documentation, and other help to bring you the finest kits. In addition to this and other reference material, AZM also thanks the Doug Champlin and the old Champlin Fighter Museum. Containing one of the premier collections of early aircraft in the country, they were invaluable to us in the collection of historically accurate construction and building information. With the assistance of museum personnel and other WWI enthusiasts AZM enjoys the benefit of some of the best customers in the country.
Using state of the art CNC driven production equipment AZM can make virtually any part at any size. Each kit is individually cut according to the plans. In addition to the laser cut parts in most cases we also include custom fitting and hardware sets specific to you model. These are made using a high pressure water jet which is capable of cutting over 1" thick steel.
Our production equipment is available for your special project. If it is a simple plans enlargement or a complete custom manufactured kit you need, we are here to help. Call or E mail us for more information.
